WHAT IT DOES:

HISTAWAY provides a concentrated source of diamine oxidase (DAO)—the main enzyme responsible for the degradation of ingested histamine. This formula delivers the clinically researched dose of DAO in an easy-to-swallow, gastro-resistant mini-tablet, which is essential for releasing DAO in the small intestine, where it breaks down food-derived histamine. HistDAO does not manage or address antibody-related or IgE-related food allergies.
Ingredients: Pig Kidney Extract (20,000 HDU Diamine Oxidase (DAO))
Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, coating (ethylcellulose, sodium alginate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, medium-chain triglycerides, stearic acid, oleic acid, and microcrystalline cellulose), sodium starch glycolate, and magnesium stearate.
Does Not Contain: Corn, wheat, gluten, yeast, soy, dairy products, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, artificial colors, artificial sweeteners, and artificial preservatives.
Directions: Take one tablet no more than 15 minutes before the consumption of histamine-rich foods, or take as directed by your healthcare professional. Consult your healthcare professional prior to use.
Individuals taking medication should discuss potential interactions with their healthcare professional. Avoid if allergic to pork or any other ingredient. Histaway is NOT EFFECTIVE for symptoms of immune-related food allergies, such as peanuts, shellfish, etc., or for gluten intolerance due to sensitivity or celiac disease.

I am taking histaway every time I eat some food with high histamines. So far it has helped.
Once I realized I was responding badly to histamines - I went completely low histamine diet and then used this to reintroduce one by one items. It worked for peanut butter ! Woo! It works for me and I’ll keep using until my histamine intolerance goes away.
Who would have thunk that such a tiny pill would knock out histamine pain flare-up better than any allergy medication? I underestimated this tiny little pill but it is such a G-d sent!
